Additional support needs inspection findings: academic year 2024 to 2025
This report presents the main findings from inspections carried out in the 2024 to 2025 academic year.
His Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) carried out 246 inspections, of which:
- 197 were primary school inspections
- 35 were secondary school inspections
- 3 were all through inspections
- 11 were special school inspections
- 35 were special units in mainstream schools
HM Inspectors use quality indicators from How good is our school and associated inspection guidance. The report draws on evidence from inspection visits, professional dialogue and pre-inspection questionnaires.
