Concerns about a school or service
We do not investigate complaints about individual schools, settings and services or teachers.
You need to contact the school or local authority to make a complaint.
The local authority education department is responsible for complaints about individual schools, settings and services or teachers.
Local authority contact details
You can get local authority contact details on the COSLA website.
If you're not satisfied with the response
If you're not satisfied with the local authority response you have the right to contact the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO).
The SPSO handles complaints about public services in Scotland.
The SPSO will consider complaints which have been through the formal local authority complaints process.
